Chinese Voters Stand Firm with Warisan: Frogs, Betrayal, and the Battle for Sabah’s Future

As Sabah heads toward PRU17, Parti Warisan is riding a surge of support from the Chinese community, despite desperate attacks from two of its former representatives – Norazlinah Arif (Kunak) and Mohammad Mohamarin (Banggi) – who betrayed their voters, their party, and even their oath before Tuhan Allah.

Their recent claims that Warisan has lost Chinese support have been dismissed by voters as hollow propaganda from two political frogs who abandoned their constituencies in exchange for personal survival under Hajiji Noor’s GRS government.

Frogs Who Betrayed God and the People

Both Norazlinah and Mohamarin swore an oath before Allah and the rakyat when they contested under the Warisan banner. By betraying that trust and “jumping” to Hajiji’s side, they not only cheated their voters but also mocked their sacred oath. Sabahans know that leaders who betray both God and people will ultimately reap shame and rejection.

Failures in Kunak and Banggi

Before pointing fingers at Warisan, these traitors should confront their own failures:

Kunak (Norazlinah): Still burdened by poor infrastructure, lack of clean water, crumbling schools, and high youth unemployment. Norazlinah has been silent in the Assembly and absent from her people’s struggles.

Banggi (Mohamarin): Still among the poorest areas in Sabah, where muddy tracks pass for roads and healthcare remains a nightmare. Instead of fighting for Banggi, Mohamarin fought for his own political survival.

The people of Kunak and Banggi deserve better than frogs who jump for power while their constituencies rot.

GRS’ Failures Cannot Be Hidden

By parroting GRS propaganda, Norazlinah and Mohamarin insult Sabahans’ intelligence. If GRS has truly “saved Sabah,” why do we still endure daily blackouts, water shortages, broken roads, and persistent poverty? Why is Sabah still the poorest state in Malaysia, despite billions in resources flowing out every year? The answer is clear: because traitors and cronies profit while ordinary Sabahans suffer.

Chinese Support for Warisan Remains Strong

Contrary to Norazlinah’s claims, Chinese support for Warisan remains steadfast. The numbers prove it:

Luyang (≈75% Chinese electorate): 78.07% turnout in 2018, 66.45% in 2020 — Warisan and its allies won both times.

Likas: 73.73% turnout in 2018, 63.39% in 2020 — Warisan-backed candidates prevailed despite lower turnout.

Elopura (Sandakan): 71.58% turnout in 2018, 58.15% in 2020 — Warisan held firm.

Tanjong Papat (Sandakan): 74.76% turnout in 2018, 54.43% in 2020 — voters continued to reject BN/GRS.

Sri Tanjong (Tawau, ≈64% Chinese electorate): 73.30% turnout in 2018, 55.84% in 2020 — Warisan won decisively.

Even as voter turnout dipped due to pandemic-era conditions, Chinese-majority seats consistently rejected betrayal politics and stood with Warisan.

If Hajiji and GRS truly believe otherwise, let them dare contest in these same constituencies at PRU17. The result will be decisive: the Chinese community will reject betrayal and corruption, and they will stand with Warisan.

Shafie vs Hajiji – The Clear Choice

For the Chinese community, the choice of leadership is clear:

Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal: A UK-trained economics graduate with a proven record of vision, integrity, and a roadmap for unity and development. He fought for Sabah’s autonomy under MA63 and brought sales tax on oil and gas revenues back to Sabah.

Hajiji Noor: Defined by betrayals, timber scandals, and dependence on Malaya-based parties to cling to power.

Sabahans, especially Chinese voters, overwhelmingly prefer Shafie because he offers competence, courage, and vision to defend Sabah’s dignity.

Shafie’s Track Record in Chinese-Majority Areas

During Warisan’s administration (2018–2020), Shafie delivered real results for Chinese constituencies:

Education: Increased allocations for SJKCs and independent Chinese schools.

Urban Development: Infrastructure upgrades and flood mitigation projects in Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau.

Economic Empowerment: SME schemes supporting Chinese entrepreneurs across commerce hubs.

Cultural Respect: Support for Chinese temples, clan associations, and cultural activities.

These are not slogans — they are tangible achievements that Chinese voters remember.

Integrity and the “Save Sabah” Struggle

Unlike GRS, Warisan has consistently stood for Sabah’s rights, multicultural unity, and integrity. The party’s mission, “Save Sabah,” is not just a slogan — it is a call to rescue the state from betrayal, frogs, and cronies.

As Warisan prepares to contest all 73 seats at PRU17, the ballot box will deliver the final verdict. The Chinese community of Sabah will once again prove their loyalty, standing firmly with Shafie Apdal and Warisan as the only true alternative to betrayal politics.

Sabah’s future cannot be built on frogs and traitors. It must be built on courage, integrity, and unity. That is why Chinese voters — and Sabahans as a whole — will “Save Sabah” with Warisan at PRU17.
